Jupiter and Saturn, Oberon, Miranda, and Titania – 14 December 2020

I am looking forward to the conjunction of Jupiter and Saturn that is happening on the 21st. I’m not exactly sure why. It’s really just a big cosmic coincidence. The importance of it is largely an illusion of perspective. But it’s still kinda neat, so I’m into it.

The title of this post is taken from the song, “Astronomy Domine,” by Pink Floyd.

Lime and limpid green, a second scene,

A fight between the blue you once knew.

Floating down, the sound resounds

Around the icy waters underground.

Jupiter and Saturn, Oberon, Miranda

And Titania… Neptune, Titan,

Stars can frighten.

Pink Floyd, “Astronomy Domine”

And that’s all for today.
